Originally from Florence, Kentucky (Florence Y’all), Liz Davis, joined the Centrality team in February 2015 as a Client Development Specialist and already resembles a seasoned veteran of the IT industry. With guidance from Company President Noah Priddy, Liz embarked in an intensive training program to learn not only the ins and outs of Centrality’s services, but also the technical aspects and specifics of certain systems and IT products. The rapid development is evident. The student has become the teacher as Liz is now conducting her own training, leading sessions to help clients use various tools and technology systems.
Anyone will tell you that Liz is friendly, out-going and a joy to work with in general. We recently sat down with Liz and chatted about a little bit of everything.
What is your role at Centrality and how has it changed over time?
Initially, I was focused on company marketing. I was managing Centrality’s social media channels and marketing efforts in general and assisting the sales team any way that I could. I still do all of that, but over time I’ve become more involved in our customer service initiatives. Now, I’m always chatting with our existing client base to learn about their needs and how Centrality can better assist them. I strategize with clients often, and come up with ways that our team can solve their business problems. I like being able to positively impact a business and see them succeed. Part of my role includes training clients how to effectively use our telephone systems, and all the functionalities.
What do you like most about working at Centrality?
I enjoy being in a position to help people, and feels like our whole team is that way. There is a feeling of togetherness and it is a very tight-knit environment. That spills over onto our clients too, so almost everybody I deal with feels like part of my family and we all care about each other. When I started, everyone was so nice and helpful. I could ask questions whenever I had them and everyone was cognizant about making time to answer them, and helping guide me. Noah himself, who is a very busy man, personally trained me for a two weeks. He didn’t have to, but he did and I am very grateful. Noah is very good about keeping everyone on the same page. All the positivity and togetherness starts with him, and I feel so blessed to work with such a good-natured, caring team.
Also, I love learning new things. Whether its learning about a client’s business to look for help with their challenges, or learning about a new product that we offer, I always have the opportunity to learn more and do more. It’s just an environment that encourages growth. I like that.
How do you spend your time outside of work? What do you like to do?
I love to be outdoors. Every summer, my family and I will go boating, camping and spend time outside together. I have a new puppy (Bear), so I go walking with him alot and we will go to the park or just walk around the neighborhood. I also play acoustic guitar and I like to do a little bit of arts and crafts when I can.
